Hyaline cartilage Picture
A type of connective tissue that contains chondrocytes embedded within
lacunae, both of which are surrounded by a dense, semitranslucent matrix of collagen
fibers and glycosaminoglycans. Hyaline cartilage is found in tracheal and bronchial walls,
the costal cartilages, the nose, and the larynx.
