Hemiparesis Picture
Hemiparesis is the paralysis of one side of the body.
It is most often caused by a stoke ,The stroke causes damage to the
corticospinal tract, which runs down from the cortical neurons
of the frontal lobe to the motor neurons of the spinal cord and is responsible for the movements of the muscles of the
body and its limbs.

The word, 'hemi,' means, 'one side, while, 'paresis,' means, 'weakness.'
Approximately eighty-percent of people who experience a stroke also have some
level of trouble moving one side of their body, or have weakness on one side.
