Granulocytes picture

White blood cells (leukocytes), manufactured in the bone marrow, that contain granules. They destroy and digest bacteria.

There are 3 types of granulocytes neutrophil, eosinophil and basophil.

Granulocytes help the body fight bacterial infections. Persons who have lower numbers of granulocytes are more likely to get frequent and severe infections.
