Flesh Eating Disease Picture
Flesh Eating Disease is an infection that works its way rapidly through the layers of
tissue that surround muscles. It destroys tissue and can cause death within
12 to 24 hours. In people with flesh-eating disease, the bacteria release
toxins that act to break down organic tissue. The bacteria themselves do not
actually eat the infected tissue.
