Bursitis Knee
Bursitis is an inflammation of a bursa. A bursa is a fluid filled sack that pads areas where tendons rub over bone.
In the knee there are several bursae (plural of bursa), the main ones being:
- suprapatellar bursa
- pre-patellar bursa
- infrapatellar bursa
- deep infrapatellar bursa
- pes anserine bursa
